One of the first pictures I took with my brand new camera... It's a Olympus Stylus 9000... What do you think? So far so good from the looks of it... Happy Summer!

Took this one in my neighborhood just today... I believe these flowers are Mums, but you can correct me if I am wrong. I have a feeling it won't be too long before these Mums are snow covered.

The easy to grow Black-Eyed Susan is still blooming here in Michigan, but as the days begin to get colder I wonder how long can they last?

Took this one today... Added in focal black and white to bring out the center of the photograph. What do you think of this shot?

They are blooming fast and furious now, apparently I have some yellow ones, red ones and orange marigolds! I just started another site where I will be offering seeds and growing tips. You can
check it out here!

I took this photo just today walking around the neighborhood, it is a taller plant at about 3 or 4' high with these purple and yellow flowers. If you can identify it I would appreciate it, thanks...
Update: Thanks to Anonymous, I now know that this flower is called a Aster, or to be more specific, a New England aster!

From This...
To this...
The Black Eyed Susan or Yellow
Coneflower are a very easy
perennial to take care of. They will adapt to most types of soil as long as they get plenty of sun. The Black Eyed Susan also makes a great cut flower!

I should really know what kind of flower this is since I have seen it around quite a bit, but sorry I just don't. Perhaps you know what kind of flower this is...
Update: Thanks to a comment on another post I now know that these are Marigolds. Thanks to
Alan!

I believe this is a tulip as least : ) Used a bit of focal black and white in the top shot. What do you think, which do you like better? You can view all of our Tulip photos
